The Tri-County Humane Society in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking information from anyone who may have information about a dog attack that left a Shih Tzu puppy badly injured.

The Tri-County Humane Society reports that a 9-week-old female Shih Tzu puppy was brought into them on Wednesday by two girls who said they found it.

The young girls handed over the puppy to the veterinary technician on duty and then left before filling out the usual paper work.

From the vet tech’s examination of the puppy, he could see the that it had been mauled by another dog or dogs.

The puppy is at emergency care at Calusa Animal Hospital in Boca Raton.

The owner has not come forward at this time.
